Petition for Reconsideration of the Final Rule on Rear Impact Guards

On August 25, 2022 Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety (Advocates), Truck Safety Coalition (TSC), Citizens for Reliable and Safe Highways (CRASH) and Parents Against Tired Truckers (P.A.T.T.) filed a petition for reconsideration of the Final Rule promulgated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) revising Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 223 and 224 to address rear underride protection in crashes of passenger vehicles into trailers and semitrailers.  To read the petition CLICK HERE.
