According to the federal government, in 2020 motor vehicle crashes claimed nearly 39,000 lives. Crashes are responsible for millions of injuries every year imposing a comprehensive cost to society of approximately $830 billion in property loss, medical and emergency bills, productivity loss, lost quality of life, and other related costs.
