Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed Senate Bill (SB) 86 into law on Friday August 9. The law, which expands prohibitions on distracted driving, takes effect in January 2020. Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety (Advocates) sent this letter to Governor Pritzker following the passage of the law by the state legislature.
