Statement on Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Actions on Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Testing Rules

Truck driving is one of the most dangerous professions in the U.S. In this exceedingly hazardous roadway environment, policy makers should be advancing proven solutions to enhance large truck safety. Today’s actions by the FMCSA ended two ill-conceived and unsafe proposals. Advocates looks forward to additional actions by the Agency to address the preventable carnage experienced on our streets and highways.

Group Letter to President Biden on Ending the Use and Sale of Dangerous Recalled Vehicles by the Federal Government.

On April 15, 2021 a group letter was sent to President Biden urging an end to the unsafe practice of federal employees using unrepaired recalled vehicles and calling for a prohibition on the public sale of unrepaired recalled federal vehicles.
