On June 2, 2022, Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety (Advocates) sent a letter to the Chair of the California Assembly Committee on Appropriations urging support for Assembly Bill (AB) 2388. The legislation would improve the current graduated driver licensing (GDL) law for novice young drivers by requiring participation in the state’s program by older teen and young adult novice drivers up to age 21.
