Advocates’ Consumer Co-Chair, Joan Claybrook, testified this morning before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade during the hearing “Examining Ways to Improve Vehicle and Roadway Safety.” After the hearing, Ms. Claybrook joined Subcommittee Ranking Member Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), Ranking Member of the Full Committee Frank Pallone (D-NJ), Will Wallace of Consumers Union, and victims and survivors of the deadly GM ignition switch defect for a press conference urging passage of H.R. 1181, the Vehicle Safety Improvement Act.
