Letter in Support of House Bill (HB) 3360/Senate Bill (SB) 248 to Upgrade South Carolina’s Distracted Driving Law

On March 30, 2021 Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety (Advocates) sent letters to the South Carolina House Judiciary Committee and Senate Committee on Transportation in support of House Bill (HB) 3360/ Senate Bill (SB) 248 to upgrade South Carolina’s distracted driving law.   The legislation would broaden the current prohibition on drivers from using wireless communication devices to read, write or send text messages while operating a motor vehicle to include distracting viewing and manual use.  To read the full letter to the South Carolina House CLICK HERE.  To read the full letter to the South Carolina Senate CLICK HERE.
