This letter was sent to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation for the hearing on February 13, 2019, “America’s Infrastructure Needs: Keeping Pace with a Growing Economy”. The letter is signed by stakeholders representing safety, consumers, public health and families of truck crash victims and survivors. With crash deaths and injuries unacceptably high, we call on the Committee to make safety the top priority in all discussions regarding infrastructure.
