Motorcycles are the most hazardous form of motor vehicle transportation, and fatalities are rising. Efforts in the Nebraska Legislature with Legislative Bill (LB) 1004 will raise the risk of death from crashes by further weakening requirements for passengers to wear a motorcycle helmet. Motorcycle riders are nearly 28 times more likely to die in a crash than people in passenger vehicles. We call on legislators to oppose this bill. Read our letter here.
