On June 2, 2021 Advocates for Highway and Safety (Advocates) sent a group letter to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, Surface Transportation, Maritime, Freight, and Ports Subcommittee regarding the hearing, “Freight Mobility: Strengthening America’s Supply Chains and Competitiveness.” The letter provides details on the safety risks involved with allowing 18-21-year-olds to operate large commercial trucks.
