Letters Supporting Assembly Bill (A) 855 and Senate Bill (SB) 1602 to Curb Distracted Driving in New Jersey

On March 3, 2021 Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety (Advocates) sent letters to the New Jersey Legislature in support of Assembly Bill (A) 855 and Senate Bill (S) 1602.  These bills will improve safety on New Jersey roads by prohibiting device use while stopped in traffic (S. 1602) and by broadening the current prohibition on drivers’ use of wireless communication devices while operating a motor vehicle to include viewing non-navigational video and content (A. 855).  To read our letter to the Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee CLICK HERE.  To read our letter to the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee CLICK HERE.
